HWL Members Register-Privacy Tip
If you are currently a member at Hotwifelife.com Forums and you want to post an ad here you will need to re-register here (integration has been removed for now due to bugs).
Some members have expressed concern about privacy when posting personal ads, perhaps not wanting to use the same member name as they used on HWL forums.
To make things easy I suggest that you register here with the same member name (password as well if you like) and use the “NICKNAME” feature to change the public name that shows up when posting an ad.
For example, say I didn’t want my posts here to show up as “posted by Frizzo”. I could login to my profile settings here, enter a nickname, save it. Then select the new nickname in the ”Display Name” drop menu and Save it again.
This will make it so that on HWL – Personals, all my posts and EVERYTHING show up under my nickname not my
Member name, giving you some privacy.
Here are some screenshots to help illustrate how this is done:
- Once you are logged in, click “My Dashboard” at the top right of the screen.
- Type in a nickname in the “Nickname” field. Save your profile (button at the bottom)
- Page reloads, select your new nickname in the “Display Name” drop menu. Save it again!
Now you see that your Nickname is shown sitewide and not your profile name, giving you privacy.
Why not just register under a new name?
- It’s easier for you to remember one login/pass for both sites.
- Perhaps you’ll change your mind about privacy and then you can reveal yourself.
